Indian label industry needs to utilize funds efficiently
Scaling upwardly an Indian company globallyAjanta Packaging expands to Sharjah and ThailandAjanta Packaging was among the showtime Indian label printers to have plants in two locations in the state – Daman and Baddi. It then expanded to Sharjah in the Middle East where information technology had to take on some of the largest global label printers. Then, more recently in the concluding 2 years it set up up a plant well-nigh Bangkok in Thailand. When we met the company's managing director, Chandan Khanna at interpack in Dusseldorf in 2014, his entire focus was on how to grow his company into a global business organisation. While some Indian characterization printers were wondering how to sell their business to the adjacent global player arriving at our shores, hither was a businessman daring to scale up and take on new geographies.Chandan Khanna, managing director, Ajanta Packaging at Interpack 2022 in Dusseldorf. Merely what came across from our meeting was his conviction in taking on the big guys – albeit in a step by step manner – and it seemed articulate that he had the courage and the knowhow to leverage and scale up his visitor globally.
In its overseas locations, Ajanta gradually achieved the competitive breakthroughs that enabled it to penetrate the top end of those markets. And then it consolidated its capabilities and geared up its capacities paying full attention to global standards and norms in quality standards, rubber, wellness and surroundings. The FMCG, healthcare, wellness, pharma, and food and beverages segments were amidst its customers and at present in its world-course Thailand plant, Ajanta is also getting into the durables segment.
